The After Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the After Sales Service department in East Africa region and managing the after sales team, the budget, as well as the allocation of expenses and revenue.

  • Leading, managing and motivating a team of direct reports.
  • Responsible for implementing strategies for all after sales activities as aligned in accordance with midterm plan.
  • Proactive in dealing with all customer queries, clarification of customer complaints & escalations, pro-active communication and ensuring actions are implemented.
  • Responsible for defining and achieving order intake & turnover targets (volume and value) including ownership of weekly and monthly trackers.
  • Sales Support for all after sales products in the East Africa Region; this includes retrofits, upgrades, spare parts, training, service, overhaul, operation supplies etc. in cooperation with related departments.
  • Develop and maintain opportunity lists, action plans and roll out by involving various stakeholders (sales, project managers etc.) to achieve the after sales budget.
  • Involved in special projects, help coordinate them internally and externally.
  • Monitor & distribute workload amongst all after sales project managers and regional coordinators to make sure that urgent issues are handled with priority.
  • To drive, follow up & assist in roll out of all activities concerning after sales products.
  • To monitor the project schedule of each project manager and pro-actively guide them to make sure that the customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • To work closely with the technical teams in Germany for any support and clarification.
  • To follow up on all processes internally and identify the areas to improve the efficiency.

Ihr Profil

  • Diploma/University Degree in Engineering/Business Administration or similar qualification
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a bottling and packaging industry
  • Strong familiarity with Krones technologies and after-sales products.
  • Proven track record in technical sales.
  • Comprehensive background in managing and motivating a team of direct reports.
  • Good knowledge in project management principles and techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of pricing calculation
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and strategic thinking
  • Ability to work with different cultures, lead & encourage a diverse team
  • Professional liaison with all levels of management and technical clients, both internally and externally
  • Work effectively in a high-volume and intense working environment.
  • A deadline driven individual who is self-motivated, independent, result driven, solution orientated, with solid time management skills
  • Strong communication skills in English both verbal and written, German language is an addition.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office/Teams and SAP.
