Krones UK has an exciting opportunity to join the Technical Sales team as a Technical Sales Project Manager – Process Technology. Our successful candidate must be truly customer centred. This position will play a key part in supporting us to deliver an exceptional service to our customers, who are at the heart of everything we do. 

The role of the Technical Sales Project Manager – Process Technology is to deliver and lead on all process technology related aspects during all project stages (quotation, order processing, commissioning by supporting service and after sales) in cooperation with the local sales and procurement department as well as the central team business line breweries and processing.

This role requires a high degree of technicality, which will require a solid technical background and require a high degree of self-sufficiency and flexibility.

  • Lead on reviewing enquiry documentation and agreeing specifications with customers
  • Lead on any new process and product technology/innovation for the UK subsidiary
  • Agreeing technical data and definition of performance parameters for defined products within offer preparation and order processing
  • Finalising commercial decisions with sales management and Krones AG
  • Advising and supporting on invites for tenders and collecting offers for third-party equipment and technical cross checking of the documentation for third party equipment
  • Be the expert technical contact for internal interfaces within Krones UK, sub-suppliers and customers regarding process technology
  • Head up customer support regarding technological aspects of existing plants and machines (optimisation actions, new recipes)
  • Commercially accountable for overseeing and managing the revenues and costs of the project and ensuring contract profitability is maintained
  • Project management experience for process technology on customer projects
  • Some knowledge of packaging equipment would be advantageous
  • Support the service department in commissioning of the machine/plant at the customer’s site
  • Manage and develop the process technology team sharing knowledge of the industry
  • Visits to Krones AG in Germany and other subsidiaries for such matters as technical training, acceptance tests and to clarify any technical and commercial aspects of specific enquiries/orders is required

Ihr Profil

  • Experience within the beverage, food, or associated industries preferable
  • Previous roles involving industrial processing machinery capital sales market
  • Engineering/Technical degree qualified, or equivalent experience
  • Project management experience in a high pressure environment advantageous
  • Commercially astute with excellent budget control skills
  • An understanding of contractual forms and requirements (MF1 model form an advantage)
  • Ability to present Krones and its products at senior customer levels
  • Good level of computer literacy, having used MS office, but also with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP and CRM systems an advantage
  • The ability to work independently and take on full project responsibility, whilst also performing within a closely knit team
