The Finance & Tax Analyst is responsible for analyzing business data and generating valuable insights which will be used to make key business decisions. They will assist in preparing the company’s financial reports, forecasting, budgeting and analyzing financial information that informs management about financial performance and risks. The Finance analyst and Tax will be responsible for the accurate accounting of all tax-related transactions and ensure the organization complies with all tax laws.
Your Tasks
- Assists in the Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements and updating the management pack i.e. BPC.
- In charge of the preparation of annual, Bi-annual budgets and quarterly periodic forecasts. Assist in Monitoring and reporting on budget variances, providing analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Assist in preparation of Audit Schedules and key contact point for both internal and external auditors locally and from Germany in guidance of Financial Accounting & Reporting.
- Analyzing financial data, providing guidance on IFRS compliance, and updating policies to align with changes in standards. Help to interpret new or updated IFRS standards that affect our business.
- Provide commercial insight and analysis of results, identifying underlying trends and challenging the business on performance
- Ensure integrity of financial data supplied by the financial accounting team to other areas of the business and to external stakeholders.
- Creating and maintaining data models, databases, and central dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee day-to-day tax operations, including planning and reporting activities. Conduct detailed analysis of tax data, ensuring accuracy and assist in strategic tax planning.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of tax returns, identify potential tax savings, and work to minimize tax liabilities while maintaining full compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide internal and external tax advisory and support on tax matters to the various teams across the organization, including Supply chain, accounts payables, payroll, Krones branches and other user departments.
- Work closely with other departments to analyze their financial needs and provide the necessary support.
- Assist in other areas within the department as and when required.
Your Profile
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in a finance, accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional qualification – CPA, ACCA
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial environment. Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools (e.g. SAP and/or S4Hana, Power BI, MS office)
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in tax calculations, reporting, and compliance.
- Communication Skills: ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills: ability to identify and define problems, analyze root causes, and develop innovative solutions based on strategic insights.
- Critical thinking: ability to evaluate information objectively and assess alternative solutions to make informed decisions.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards (IFRS, GAAP)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
