Your Tasks
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Transactional Processing Support: Assisting with the accurate input and processing of financial transactions, including vendor invoices, posting vendor payments and customer receipts, updating customer statements.
- Data Verification & Reconciliation: Supporting the verification of financial data, cross-referencing information, and assisting with various general ledger, customer and vendor accounts reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Report Generation Assistance: Helping to pull data and populate templates for routine financial reports, such as daily liquidity reports, weekly expense summaries, various accounts receivables and payables reports.
- Documentation & Record keeping: Maintain organized and accurate financial records (physical and/or digital), ensuring compliance and easy accessibility.
- Audit Preparation Support: Assisting with the collection and organization of required documents for internal or external audit requests.
- General Administrative Support: Providing general administrative support to the finance team, including assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Performing other tasks aimed at improving financial processes, conducting market research, or supporting new initiatives as may be assigned from time to time; all focused on providing opportunities to learn various aspects of corporate finance.
Your Profile
Qualification, Experience, Behaviours & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. This role is best suited for individuals who have completed their degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas).
- A solid grasp of basic accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude, with a willingness to take direction and complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standard.
