 Job Purpose:

The of the Krones Service Technician contributes to the organizational goals by being responsible for providing technical support to our customers and is required to achieve and maintain high efficiency’s on Krones production lines.


Your Tasks

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing the day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure that Krones machinery performs efficiently
  • Conduct equipment audits and overhauls
  • Maintain safe working environment
  • Coach customers on operational and maintenance activities
  • Ability to communicate and interact with the client, technicians, subsidiaries and KSA / KAG office
  • Ability to fault find in a logical and professional manner
  • Ability to install and commission new machines/retrofits with instruction
  • Attend to breakdowns telephonically and physically
  • Willingness to work overtime and night work
  • Travelling to customers nationally and internationally
  • Conduct performance acceptance test at the customers
  • Provide intervention reports
  • Installation and commissioning of single and complete packaging lines

Your Profile

Qualification, Experience, Behaviours & Skills

  • National Diploma or N6 with trade certificate, a degree in industrial automation will be advantageous
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Field service role in the beverage industry
  • Knowledge of Krones portfolio of machines
  •  Knowledge of Automation (Siemens S7 & TIA Portal), motion controls (B&R, Danfoss, SEW),
  • Krones Inspection machines, Dry end and general electrics
  • Strong technical knowledge of FMCG / machine packaging
  • Must have knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Supervisory experience will be an advantage
  • Ability to install and commission packaging machines
